If we gather together all European Communities main topic, what do we get?

More distributed than specific Continents

European communities tend to center their meeting topics on technology, shifting distribution. The erosion of communities from other categories is homogeneous, demonstrating a particular interest in the technological theme rather than a disinterest in other specific themes.

Europe is the only continent to have the top 5 categories identical to the global ones. Although the distribution is still much more unbalanced.

Significantly, the “Art” category is the highest among all continents (45% above the world average).

NOTE: How did we calculated European communities main topic:

Those results are the synthesis of tracing more than 50.000 communities in all European countries, and analyzing the topic they declare as their main. We considered a total of 24 topic categories.  All the topics that occurred on less than 1.5% of the total were collected under the heading “Others”.
